Shane Sparks: What to Wear and Not Wear to a Dance Audition

| July 24, 2012 | 1 Comment

First off, I want to say if you are dope you can wear anything; YOU are the talent NOT your clothes.

But, on the other hand, I do feel better when I wear certain clothes. I need to feel loose and comfortable, I have to look the part I’m auditioning for.

No matter what you are auditioning for dress with dignity. I know some auditions call for a hot sexy girl for the video, but don’t let that decide who you are. Dress to impress, but remember this…not every audition is for you. If you feel cheap you probably shouldn’t do it.

The sad part is there’s always a dancer that will go the extra mile to get the job and because that’s what they’re looking for she’ll book.

Please ladies don’t get caught up in the trap. There is a million respectful jobs out there just wait for them.

I know we have to make money, but trust me no money in the world is worth selling your soul for.

Anything worth having takes time. If you are talented they will see it and you’ll never have to worry about that video or pictures you took to survive when you first got to LA.

Believe in yourself and it will pay off.
